Kristina Lepold is Junior Professor of Social Philosophy/Critical Theory. She specializes in social philosophy, political philosophy, and critical philosophy of race. 

Kristina Lepold was a member of the steering committee of SWIP Germany e.V. (2021-2023) and is a SWIP Ambassador at the Department of Philosophy at Humboldt University. She is associated with the Center for Social Critique and is a member of the DFG research network "The Relation between Recognition Theory and Theories of Epistemic Injustice".

Kristina Lepold studied political science and economics at the University of Mannheim and Sciences Po Paris (B.A. 2009) and sociology with a specialization in social theory at the London School of Economics and Political Science (M.Sc. 2010). From 2011 to 2016, she worked on her doctoral dissertation in philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt and the Frankfurt Institute for Social Research, and received her Ph.D. in 2017. During her studies and doctorate, she received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. Research stays took her to Columbia University in New York (2013), Harvard University (2018-19), and MIT (2023). Before joining Humboldt University in October 2020, she was a postdoctoral research associate at Goethe University Frankfurt.
