Open Student Assistant Position at the Chair in Social Philosophy Prof. Rahel Jaeggi (HU 01/26) Deadline 20 Feb 2026
The Department of Philosophy at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is seeking to fill the position of a student assistant (40 hours per month) for a period of 24 months, starting 1st of April 2026. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with the members of the Department of Social Philosophy and especially with Prof. Rahel Jaeggi.
Job Profile: The successful should candidate should have excellent knowledge of English and MS-Office; be able to do literature research and proof-reading (also preferably in English); be willing to provide teaching support. In addition, he/she should conduct tutorials in the field of practical philosophy and social philosophy (an average of 2 teaching hours). A special interest in social philosophy and critical theory is desired. Requirements: The successful candidate should be enrolled as a student of philosophy (BA or MA) and, for the purpose of conducting tutorials, demonstrate that they have acquired the relevant skills and qualifications (e.g. module final examination).
