Junior Professorship in ‘Theoretical Philosophy’, Oct 1, 2020

Junior Professorship in ‘Theoretical Philosophy’ with a focus on metaphysics and/or epistemology

beginning October 1st, 2020.

This is a W1 position for six years, without tenure track. It is funded by the newly established Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (Kollegforschergruppe) “Human Abilities”.

Candidates are expected to work in Theoretical Philosophy, both in research and teaching, and to have a clear systematic focus. They should have an interest in the history of philosophy and in intradisciplinary as well as interdisciplinary collaboration.

The applicants must meet the legal requirements for professorial appointments in accordance with § 102a of the “Berliner Hochschulgesetz”.

The successful applicant has demonstrated theoretical and methodological competences, pedagogical skills, is willing to participate in departmental administrative matters and to contribute to our BA and MA study programs, to the joint MA program International Relations with the FU Berlin and the University of Potsdam as well as to our structured PhD program, The Berlin Graduate School of Social Sciences.
